UNDERGROUND EQUIPMENT

Services can be provided for the following areas:

Definition: Engineering to establish configuration, design criteria and duty requirements, providing the basis for preliminary equipment sizing and  configurations.

Analysis:

• Mining equipment capability modelling and productivity estimation;
• Inter equipment optimisation;
• Longwall power and fluid demand calculations;
• Operational performance, bottleneck and upgrade studies;
• Failure analysis;
• Longwall armoured face conveyor reserve chain pull calculations to ensure the AFC and power system are optimised for duty;
• Development coal haulage modelling to ensure the capability of the continuous miner is utilised within the constraint of the panel layout.

Detailed Design: Design audits and design reviews;

Simulation modelling of systems and coal flow.

Drafting: Development of system configurations and equipment layouts, process flow diagrams;

Concept to tendering drawing packages and 3D visualisation.

Procurement: Preparation of tender packages, tender evaluation, supplier negotiations and contract formation;

Project management and expediting of equipment supply.

Cost: Preparation of capital and operating cost estimates with consideration of component life and overhaul strategies.

Installation: Project management and scheduling services for site activities.

Operational Support: Brownfield system / equipment capability assessments. Equipment failure analysis. Development and implementation of strategic improvement plans or LOM plans.
