MECHANICAL SERVICES
Piped services reticulation and installation of including fire/raw water, compressed air, dewatering, longwall emulsion and mine inertisation GAG installations.
Services can be provided for the following areas:
Definition: Engineering to establish design criteria and duty requirements, providing the basis for preliminary equipment sizing and low / pressure calculations. Duty requirements determined by use of in-house developed methodologies.
Analysis: Incompressible (liquid) and compressible (gas) fluid flow pressure loss calculations, underground mine water balance and modelling of dewatering pump station storage volumes and pump operating parameters using a number of in-house procedures and proprietary packages depending on complexity;
Optimising project and LOM infrastructure / equipment locations, selection and sizing to suit commercial objectives (e.g. surface infrastructure and boreholes, dewatering / booster pump stations, piping PRVs, etc). Dynamic assessment tools for transient analysis of system water hammer issues.
Detailed Design: Bespoke equipment design and RPEQ engineering certification.
Drafting: Development of system configurations and equipment layouts, process flow and piping and instrumentation diagrams;
Concept to complete construction drawing packages and 3D visualisation.
Procurement: Preparation of tender packages, tender evaluation, supplier negotiations and contract formation, plus project management and expediting of equipment supply.
Cost: Preparation of capex and opex estimates with consideration of component life and overhaul strategies.
Construction: Project management and scheduling services for site activities.
Operational Support: Brownfield system / equipment capability assessments. Equipment failure analysis. Development and implementation of strategic improvement plans or LOM infrastructure plans.
